What this Claude skills marketplace is

Claude Code has no single skills store. Skills reach you through plugin marketplaces, public registries and plain GitHub repositories. This page is a Claude skills library of a different kind: a reviewed list of 195 repositories and 88 individual skills, each with a verdict, a depth score from 1 to 5 and a security status. We do not host skill files, sell anything or run an upload form. Every entry links to its GitHub repository and shows the install command.

How we differ from skills marketplaces and registries

These sources do different jobs. Most of them are complements to a reviewed directory, not rivals.

Our own coverage starts from the most installed and most starred skills across skills.sh, ClawHub and GitHub, using the open Best Skills data set, and adds skills people search for by name. Skills that look malicious are left out. Details are on the methodology page.

The marketplace itself is also reviewed: anthropics/claude-plugins-official is in the list with a With caveats verdict, because it is a catalog and each plugin in it needs its own look.

How to use the filters

The list is sorted by verdict first, then depth, then usage, so the strongest candidates come first. Type a name, owner or topic in the search box (press / to jump to it), then add one filter:

  • Recommended keeps only skills whose verdict is install.
  • No issues found keeps skills where we had every file in scope and recorded nothing beyond local scripts.
  • Broad access shows the opposite end: skills that send keys, use browser sessions, pre-approve shell commands or install hooks. Useful for an audit, rarely for a first install.
  • Depth 4-5 hides one-page prompts and keeps skills with substantial references, scripts or evals.

A good first pass is Recommended plus Depth 4-5, then a look at the security status of whatever remains. If you already know the job, go through the categories instead, or read the shortlist on the best Claude skills page.

Claude skills download and install

There is nothing to download from this site. Each page has a copy-ready command for the skills CLI:

Add -g to install for all projects and --skill name to take one skill from a multi-skill repository. If the repository has a plugin manifest, the page also shows the Claude Code form, /plugin marketplace add owner/repo. The CLI sends anonymous usage data unless you set DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1. You can also copy a skill folder by hand into ~/.claude/skills/ for Claude Code.

Check before you trust a listing

Install counts and stars are easy to inflate, and a long list is not a review. Open the skill’s SKILL.md and scripts once. Our security page explains what each flag means and why a raw scanner score alone is a poor guide: in our last run the scanner said “do not install” for 193 of 286 popular skills, most of them false alarms from commands mentioned in instructions.
