A Remotion skill Claude Code can load teaches the agent to build video as React code: project setup, markup rules, captions, preview and rendering. Other skills in this category use HTML as the source instead, and some call paid generation services. We reviewed 20 skills: 8 get an install verdict, 11 come with caveats and 1 gets a skip.
Video skills are heavy by nature. They need Node, often FFmpeg, and sometimes a browser to render frames. They also touch more of the network than most skills, so the security notes matter more here than in categories made of plain Markdown.
Choosing a Remotion skill Claude can use
Pick the renderer first. Remotion renders React components. HyperFrames renders HTML to MP4. A skill for one does not help with the other, though there is a skill that ports Remotion projects across. Standardize before you install.
Then look at where data goes. Generation skills usually send prompts and media to a vendor, and some need a paid plan. Telemetry is the second thing to check: a CLI behind a skill can send usage events, and you may want the opt-out. Third, read what the installer or setup step changes. Several skills run npx at an unpinned version or install a CLI from a script.
Of the 20 skills, none is clean: 15 are marked “review” and 5 have broad access. The security page explains the flags. Check dependencies too, since a render may need FFmpeg and a recent Node, and the Claude Code docs note that a skill can bundle scripts that Claude runs for you.

- Remotion Agent Skills is the official set: 12 skills for project creation, markup, maps, captions, studio and rendering. The
SKILL.mdfiles are short (3.6 KB average) but backed by 80 plus reference files. It has about 3.1 million recorded installs. SKILL.mdwith 71 files behind it: reference pages per video type, about 20 presets and four scripts with two test files. It needs Node 22 or newer and FFmpeg. The CLI it drives sends usage telemetry unless you disable it. - HyperFrames as a whole repo is rated broad access with a caveats verdict. Telemetry is on by default and linked to your HeyGen email after sign-in, and the CLI skill has the agent post feedback after each render. Read the privacy notes before installing all 26 skills.
- Higgsfield AI Skills is nine skills for images, video and brand kits through a paid service. Most pre-approve unrestricted Bash and tell the agent to install the vendor CLI with a curl-to-shell script, and your prompts and media go to Higgsfield. It only fits you if you already pay for it.
One skip: Wonda CLI bundles media generation with automation of your logged-in LinkedIn, X and Reddit accounts and backs up session cookies to the vendor by default.
