Amazon Skills by Nexscope Claude skills

About 50 instruction-based skills for Amazon sellers: keywords, listings, FBA fees, PPC and Buy Box, with a few curl scripts.

Our verdict Recommended with caveats

Free and broad, but mostly prompts without data behind them, one calculator on 2024 rates, scripts that scrape Amazon pages, and promotion of the vendor's paid product.

What Amazon Skills by Nexscope does

Amazon Skills is a vendor-published set of roughly 50 skills for Amazon sellers. Most are long instruction files (the dossier averages about 9.7 KB, with some at 20 KB or more) that walk an agent through a seller task: keyword research and backend keywords, listing optimization, A+ content, advertising strategy and display ads, Buy Box, brand registry and analytics, competitor analysis and monitoring, coupons, dayparting and deal finding. A few shorter entries are around 2 KB.

Only four skills ship executable helpers. The keyword research skill calls Amazon's public autocomplete endpoint with curl to gather long-tail terms. The listing optimization and PPC skills use curl scripts to download a product page by ASIN, and the FBA calculator is a Python script, with a header noting it is based on 2024 rates. The keyword skill states plainly that it gives no exact search volumes or sales figures. The README says no API key is needed, and each skill ends with a pointer to the author's commercial product, Nexscope, for precise data. There are no tests or evals, and the other skills are prompts that rely on the model's general knowledge of Amazon rules and fees.

Good for

  • Amazon sellers wanting a structured checklist for listings and PPC
  • Quick long-tail keyword mining from Amazon autocomplete
  • Teams that want free seller playbooks, not live data

Not for

  • Anyone who needs exact search volume, sales or fee data
  • Strict reliance on fee numbers without checking Amazon's current rate card

Review before installing

Amazon seller skills (keyword research, listing and PPC help, FBA and tariff calculators). Three bash scripts fetch public Amazon pages and autocomplete suggestions with curl, and nothing is sent to Nexscope or any other endpoint; SKILL.md files contain marketing links to nexscope.ai. Note that research.sh interpolates the keyword into an inline python3 -c string, so unusual quote characters in a keyword could break out of it.

Worth knowing

  • Makes network requestscurl downloads public Amazon product pages by ASIN with a browser User-Agent header and scrapes fields from the HTML; research.sh queries Amazon's public autocomplete endpoint, and SKILL.md files tell the agent to web_fetch Google Trends and other public pages.amazon-listing-optimization/scripts/fetch-listing.sh:22

What we checked

The repository (67 files) on Oct 29, 2026. Not a full review: it relies on code outside the repository: npm package skills (run via `npx skills add ...` for installation).

NVIDIA SkillSpector static scan: 65 pattern hits (MCP Rug Pull 62, Supply Chain 3). The two HIGH 'external script fetching' hits are curl calls to Amazon's autocomplete endpoint that only read JSON suggestions, not downloaded scripts. The 62 MEDIUM hits are the repeated unpinned npx skills add install line in each skill's docs.

Not really. These are conversational advisory skills that produce analysis for a seller to review, with no loop or verification step.

FAQ

What is Nexscope Amazon Skills?

It is a free collection of about 50 agent skills for Amazon sellers covering keyword research, listing optimization, FBA fees, PPC, Buy Box and brand tools. Most are instruction files; a few include small scripts.

How do I install Amazon Skills?

Run npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills -g to install all of them, or add --skill amazon-keyword-research to install one. It lists OpenClaw, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Codex as compatible.

Do the skills give real search volume or sales data?

No. The keyword research skill says it uses public autocomplete and web search and does not give exact monthly search volumes or sales estimates. Treat fee and volume numbers as estimates and check them against Amazon's current rate card and a data provider.

Amazon Skills vs eCommerce-Skills?

Amazon Skills focuses on Amazon-specific tasks, while nexscope-ai/eCommerce-Skills spans Shopify, Etsy, eBay, TikTok Shop and Walmart with mostly shorter prompts. Both come from the same publisher.
