A conversion-copywriting skill that diagnoses your input first, then drafts page copy under strict rules against AI-sounding phrasing and unsupported claims.
A thoughtful, MIT-licensed copy skill with explicit diagnosis steps, anti-slop rules and evals; it works best with real product context.
This skill, from Corey Haines' marketingskills collection, covers copy for homepages, landing, pricing, feature, about and product pages, plus taglines and CTAs. Before writing it reads a shared product-marketing context file if one exists and asks about page purpose, audience, offer and traffic source. It then classifies the job as a blank brief, a draft with a real voice that should be restored, or a point edit that should change only what you asked, and states that diagnosis with evidence. Drafting is done unit by unit (headline, subhead, CTA, each section): the agent writes two or three candidates per unit, keeps the best and locks it, and runs each line through three tests: can the reader picture it, can it be proven true or false, and could a competitor write the same sentence.
The skill bans common AI tells (the 'it's not X, it's Y' reveal, 'no X, no Y, no Z' lists, trailing comma clauses), limits punchy lines to a couple per page, and requires claims to be supportable, with [NEED: ...] markers where facts are missing. The SKILL.md is about 15.5 KB, with three references (AI tells, copy frameworks, natural transitions, about 41 KB in total) and ten eval prompts in evals.json. It outputs page copy with annotations and alternatives. It is one of 40-plus skills in the collection and refers to related skills for email, popups and copy editing.
A 15.5 KB SKILL.md with three reference files (about 41 KB) and ten eval prompts, but no scripts.
.agents/product-marketing.md, then .claude/product-marketing.md, then the legacy product-marketing-context.md filename used in older setups. If that file has a Learnings section, the skill reads it before drafting. It won't pitch angles or claims already tested there as new ideas, and it applies the active lessons unless you tell it not to.[NEED: ...] marker. Fill it with real evidence or drop the claim. If the skill declines a claim, it names the evidence that would let it make that claim. The skill's description lists the phrases that trigger it, including "write copy for," "improve this copy," "rewrite this page," "headline help," "CTA copy," "value proposition," "tagline," "hero section copy," "this copy is weak," "this sounds like AI," and "help me describe my product." What you include with the prompt decides which of its three situations applies:
If you want a full rewrite of a draft that has a real voice, say so directly. Otherwise the skill treats your choices as deliberate: where you spent words is your priority, what you left out is your scope, and your angle is your positioning.
Most guides on copywriting skills teach human writers to keep the brand's voice, be clear about the CTA, and edit hard after the first draft. This skill turns several of those habits into rules the agent has to follow.
Its principles start with clarity over cleverness: when clear and creative conflict, it picks clear. The context questions force a single primary action per page, so the CTA has one job. Voice matching is specific. With a writing sample, the agent matches average sentence length, punctuation habits, paragraph openings, and a few words you use that it wouldn't choose on its own. When the sample conflicts with the default voice, the sample wins.
The skill does its hard editing in two places. The leave-it-alone test reverts changes that are different but not better. The punch ration keeps most lines plain and declarative and allows one or two punchy moments per page, usually the headline and one section. The SKILL.md explains that when every line tries to land, none do, and the stacked devices read as AI.

A Markdown-only copywriting skill (SKILL.md, reference files and an evals file). It contains no scripts, network access, credentials handling, hooks or tool pre-approvals.

Not really. It is an interactive drafting skill with a diagnose, draft and review procedure; it needs your product facts and has no unattended loop.

It is a Claude Code and Codex skill from Corey Haines' marketingskills repo that writes and rewrites marketing page copy. It diagnoses whether the input is a blank brief, a draft with a real voice or a point edit, then drafts under rules against AI tells and unsupported claims.
Install the collection with npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills and select copywriting, or copy the skills/copywriting folder into your agent's skills directory. It looks for a shared product-marketing context file before asking questions.
That is a stated goal: the skill forbids patterns such as 'it's not X, it's Y' reveals and stacked 'no X, no Y' lists, and a reference file catalogs AI tells. It also asks you to keep your own vocabulary and voice when you supply a draft.
The marketingskills copywriting skill writes and restructures conversion copy from a brief and product facts. A humanizer rewrites existing text to remove machine-sounding patterns without adding structure. Use copywriting for page copy and a humanizer for prose cleanup.
The copywriting skill hands those jobs to sibling skills in the same collection: emails for email copy, popups for popup copy, copy-editing for editing existing copy, and offers for the offer underneath the copy, such as bonuses, guarantees and value framing.
Yes. If you include a sample, the skill matches its average sentence length, punctuation habits, paragraph openings and some of your distinctive words. When the sample conflicts with its default voice, the sample takes priority.
The SKILL.md says the diagnosis step, the three-question gate and the decompose-and-lock drafting were adapted from Profound's improved-copywriting skill in the skills-marketing-library repository (MIT) and rewritten for this skill.
