universal-modder
rehan-remade/universal-modderA 13-skill pack and `um` CLI for modding PC games: game recon, reverse engineering, fal-generated art, in-game testing, video and a field-notes knowledge base.
A router skill plus 77 game-dev skills across 12 engines (Godot, Unity, Unreal, Bevy, Phaser, pygame) and disciplines like AI, audio and procedural generation.
A well-organized, version-pinned pack with a genuinely useful router and a validator script; actively maintained and Apache-2.0.
This pack is built around a single always-loaded router skill (about 19 KB) rather than letting you pick skills by name. The router fingerprints the project (a project.godot file means Godot, a .uproject means Unreal, and so on), classifies the task from your request into a discipline, genre and workflow, then loads only the matching skill bodies before the agent writes code. It explicitly tells the agent not to re-run routing every turn, only when the task pivots.
Behind the router sit engine skills for Godot, Unity, Unreal, Ebitengine, Phaser, PixiJS, three.js, Bevy, pygame, LÖVE, Defold and Roblox, and engine-neutral discipline skills such as ai-behavior-trees-utility-ai (BT and Utility AI runtimes), audio-design (bus architecture, ducking, adaptive music with LUFS targets), camera-systems, game-feel, input-systems, level-design, performance-optimization, physics-tuning, procedural-gen, save-systems and game-ui-ux. A create-game-assets skill handles art direction: locking a visual target, building asset families and normalizing outputs, with two scripts and two templates. Genre skills (platformer, roguelike, RPG and others) and workflow skills (itch publishing) glue these together. Each skill states what it is not for and points to the right neighbor. The authors version-pin skills to stated engine releases and run a validator script (scripts/validate-skills.py) to check them, and they publish a browsable catalog site generated from the same files.
78 skills (router plus 77) averaging 8.4 KB, with references in most and scripts and templates in the asset-creation skill, plus a repo-level validator; no eval suite.
Counted from the repository file tree. How we score depth.
A catalog of game-development skills (Godot, Unity, Roblox, Ebitengine, publishing workflows) that are mostly Markdown, plus small local Python checkers and scaffolding scripts. No network access, credential handling, hooks or tool pre-approvals were found; most scripts were skimmed by search rather than read line by line.
The repository (251 files) on Oct 29, 2026. Not a full review: we read 2 of 30 code files; it relies on code outside the repository: Not read in full: the project checker scripts (check_godot_project.py, check_unity_project.py, check_defold_project.py, check_steam_build.py, check_ebitengine.py), asset tools, site generator and validator, Go starter sources and the test suite (inspected only by grep for network, subprocess, environment and file-deletion use).
NVIDIA SkillSpector static scan: 71 pattern hits (MCP Rug Pull 17, Rogue Agent 15, Dangerous Code Execution 13, Privilege Escalation 6, Excessive Agency 5, System Prompt Leakage 3). Subprocess and os.environ hits are in tests and in the macOS packaging script calling lipo. 'Self-update', 'clear state' and 'return prompt' are phrases in docs or game-AI/monetization guidance. The only remote fetches are documentation examples (butler download in a CI recipe, wasm loading in a starter HTML page), and sudo/apt lines are in a sample GitHub Actions workflow.
A review, not a certification. Skills change after we check them — read the files before installing.
Apache-2.0 — commercial use allowed; see the repo's NOTICE file for attribution and trademark notes.
Not really. It is a routing and reference system for interactive development, not a loop with stop conditions.

The Remotion team's twelve skills for building videos as React code: project setup, markup rules, maps, captions, studio, render and upgrades.
GreenSock's official skills for correct GSAP animation code: core API, timelines, ScrollTrigger, plugins, React and other frameworks, utilities and performance.
It is a collection of 77 game-development skills plus a router for AI coding agents, covering 12 engines (Godot, Unity, Unreal, Bevy, Phaser, pygame and others) and disciplines like AI, audio, save systems and procedural generation. The router detects your engine and task and loads only the matching skills.
Run npx skills add gamedev-skills/awesome-gamedev-agent-skills for any supported agent, or use it as a Claude Code plugin marketplace with claude plugin install gamedev@awesome-gamedev-agent-skills. You can also install a smaller bundle of just the router plus one engine.
Yes. It supports 12 engines including Unity, Godot, Unreal, Bevy, Phaser, PixiJS, three.js, pygame, LÖVE, Ebitengine, Defold and Roblox, and the router picks the right engine skill from project files.
The content is mostly instructional with a small validator script and asset scripts; we found no hidden network calls. It carries an Apache-2.0 license.
