Remotion Agent Skills
remotion-dev/skillsThe Remotion team's twelve skills for building videos as React code: project setup, markup rules, maps, captions, studio, render and upgrades.
Remotion-based skill for cinematic product promo videos, with 124 shot recipe cards, a full template, beat sync, sound design and a motion workbench.
Deep and well supplied with recipes, but Remotion's company license, per-file audio licenses and a Chinese-language SKILL.md need checking first.
video-shotcraft turns a web or desktop product into a promo video. The skill is a self-contained library: 124 shot recipe cards with demo source and motion previews (the repo lists 150 shots in its gallery), one validated complete promo template called Ink Press, reusable components and audio assets, and a six-stage workflow. The agent captures real screenshots of your pages, picks shots, applies 2.5D camera moves with beat-synced cuts and sound design, and renders with Remotion. A Motion Workbench lets you edit the film as separate shot, transition, caption and SFX tracks, and there is an export path for JianYing, the Chinese edition of CapCut. The SKILL.md is long, about 21 KB, and written in Chinese; the repo has roughly 25 reference files, 50 scripts, 34 template files and CI. It needs Node.js and npm. Two licensing notes: the code is Apache-2.0 but the bundled audio files each carry their own license listed in an attribution file, and Remotion itself may require a paid license for companies. The README also carries a sponsor message for an API gateway.
A 21 KB SKILL.md with about 25 reference files, 50 scripts, 34 template files, 124 recipe cards and CI in a 1,364-file repo, though only a few tests.
Counted from the repository file tree. How we score depth.
A Remotion-based video production skill with templates, a local preview workbench and optional helpers. Two optional features reach beyond the project: publish/upload_post.py uploads a finished video to Upload-Post using your API key, and the JianYing export writes into that app's draft folder under your home directory. Installing it pulls in a large npm toolchain (Remotion, three.js, vite) whose packages were not reviewed.
The repository (1364 files) on Oct 29, 2026. Not a full review: 925 of 1364 files were not downloaded (large repository; we reviewed the skill folders); we read 9 of 30 code files; it relies on code outside the repository: npm packages in package-lock.json files (Remotion, React, three, vite, vitest, puppeteer and others; the scanner reported development-only dependencies with known CVEs such as tinypool 1.1.1 and vite 7.3.6); Python packages (pyJianYingDraft) and ffmpeg used by the JianYing export and rendering; Upload-Post service (api.upload-post.com) that receives published videos.
NVIDIA SkillSpector static scan: 84 pattern hits (MCP Rug Pull 24, Dangerous Code Execution 19, Supply Chain 14, Data Exfiltration 12, analysis-evasion 6, Privilege Escalation 4). The CRITICAL data-flow and tool-poisoning hits are publish/upload_post.py sending the user-supplied API key to Upload-Post, an opt-in publisher. The CRITICAL/HIGH supply-chain hits are CVEs on dev-only npm packages in package-lock.json. The analysis-evasion hits are partial references in SKILL.md, subprocess.run in showcase-publish.py is a maintainer CI script calling ffmpeg and gh, and the sudo hits are apt-get install ffmpeg in GitHub workflows.
A review, not a certification. Skills change after we check them — read the files before installing.
Code and docs Apache-2.0; audio under assets/audio keeps individual licenses (see ATTRIBUTION.md); Remotion has its own license terms.
Not really. The workflow involves choosing shots and reviewing previews with a person before the final render.

HeyGen's framework and skills for writing HTML and rendering it to deterministic MP4 video, with a CLI, a block registry and media tooling.
Skill that reads your project and renders a short launch video with music, motion and share copy, using Hyperframes.
A skill that turns one topic, a talking-head video or a photo into a finished paper-collage explainer video, using the Atlas Cloud API and local ffmpeg.
It is a skill for Claude Code and Codex that creates cinematic product videos with Remotion using shot recipe cards, a template, beat sync and sound design.
Run npx skills add Vincentwei1021/video-shotcraft, or symlink the repo into ~/.claude/skills or ~/.codex/skills as the README shows. You need Node.js and npm.
The repo's code is Apache-2.0, but Remotion's license says companies may need a paid license, and the bundled audio files have their own terms. Check both before shipping a commercial video.
