Marketing Skills (Corey Haines) Claude skills

52 marketing skills for CRO, copywriting, SEO, analytics, paid ads and growth, built around a shared product-marketing context file.

Our verdict Recommended

One of the more thorough marketing packs, with references and evals; read the partner disclosure and keep ad-account access read-only.

What Marketing Skills (Corey Haines) does

This collection by Corey Haines covers the technical marketer's toolkit in 52 skills: cro, copywriting, copy-editing, seo-audit, ai-seo, programmatic-seo, schema, site-architecture, ads and ad-creative, cold-email, emails, analytics, conversion-tracking, ab-testing, pricing, offers, onboarding, paywalls, signup, launch, referrals, revops, social, video and more. A foundation skill, product-marketing, writes a context file (.agents/product-marketing.md) that every other skill reads first so it does not re-ask about your product, audience and positioning.

Skills are heavy: SKILL.md files average about 16 KB, many have a references folder (the ads skill alone has 16 reference files), and there are about 40 evals.json files with prompts and assertions. Most of the code is a set of JavaScript tracking snippets and two Python scripts under conversion-tracking. The library is free and MIT-licensed but funded by Verified Partners (conversion tracking, AI site builder, data and AI-search tools), which the README says are disclosed and never change what core skills recommend. It installs with npx skills add, a Claude Code or Codex plugin, or zip files for Claude web.

Good for

  • Founders and technical marketers who want CRO, copy and SEO frameworks inside the coding agent
  • Auditing a live site or ad account with read-only checks
  • Teams that want a single shared product-context file

Not for

  • Agencies needing client-specific brand voice without writing the context file first
  • People who object to sponsored tool listings in a skills library

Security review

Review before installing

A large library of marketing skills (CRO, SEO, ads, analytics). The only executable parts we hold are small stdlib Python helpers for Google Tag Manager recipes and client-side tracking snippets meant for the user's website that push events to dataLayer. Some skills use unpinned npx tools and API-key curl examples, and the README points to a tools/ credential workflow that is not in our snapshot.

Worth knowing

  • Runs remote code at an unpinned versionThe video skill tells the agent to run npx hyperframes init/preview/render and npx create-video@latest without version pins.skills/video/SKILL.md:59
  • Needs an API key for its own serviceReference examples call Gemini and ElevenLabs with GEMINI_API_KEY / ELEVENLABS_API_KEY, sending each key only to its own vendor API.skills/ad-creative/references/generative-tools.md:50
  • Makes network requestsSkills contain curl examples against third-party APIs (Gemini, ElevenLabs) and the user's own pages (header/robots checks).skills/ad-creative/references/generative-tools.md:298
  • Relies on a CLI or package we could not reviewAd-platform skills refer to per-platform CLIs (e.g. linkedin-ads campaigns list) and the README's guided tool-connection workflow (tools/SETUP.md) that are not in our snapshot.skills/ad-creative/SKILL.md:439

What we checked

The repository (771 files) on Oct 29, 2026. Not a full review: 440 of 771 files were not downloaded (large repository; we reviewed the skill folders); it contains compiled binaries or archives we cannot read; we read 2 of 28 code files; it relies on code outside the repository: 440 of 771 repo files are not in our snapshot, including tools/ (marketing-platform CLIs and tools/SETUP.md credential workflow), marketplace/plugin manifests and many SKILL.md files; npm packages hyperframes and create-video; the platform CLIs and APIs referenced by the ad skills; 24 conversion-tracking JS snippets under skills/conversion-tracking/assets/snippets/ (grepped for fetch/XHR/beacon/cookie/eval use: only sessionStorage markers and hard-coded vendor iframe selectors; not read in full) and build_recipe.py (imports only argparse/json/re/sys/pathlib; not read in full).

NVIDIA SkillSpector static scan: 87 pattern hits (MCP Rug Pull 22, Excessive Agency 17, Prompt Injection 11, Anti-Refusal 11, Data Exfiltration 8, Privilege Escalation 6). SkillSpector hits are marketing-copy words that trip classifiers ('Arsenic', 'without warning', 'swap rules'), guardrail text telling the agent to treat fetched pages as data, 'npx skills' install docs, and curl examples; none are instructions that act on the user's system.

A review, not a certification. Skills change after we check them — read the files before installing.

MIT — commercial use allowed; the README discloses sponsor-funded Verified Partner listings.

Can it run unattended?

Not really. One skill (marketing-loops) designs recurring workflows, but the skills themselves are advisory and expect a human to approve account changes.

FAQ

What are Corey Haines' marketing skills?

A free MIT-licensed set of 52 agent skills for marketing tasks such as conversion optimization, copywriting, SEO audits, programmatic SEO, paid ads, analytics, pricing, onboarding and email. They share a product-marketing context file so each skill knows your product and audience.

How do I install marketingskills?

Run npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills (add -a claude-code if you run it from inside an agent session), or use /plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills and /plugin install marketing-skills. A Codex marketplace route and Claude web zip files are also available.

Are the tool recommendations sponsored?

The README lists Verified Partners that fund the project and says they are vetted, disclosed and listed beside neutral options without influencing the core skills. Treat partner integration guides as sponsored and compare alternatives.

marketingskills vs RampStack skills?

Corey Haines' pack is narrower and deeper on marketing, with eval files and tracking snippets. RampStack spans brand, design, product and ops with prose frameworks and no scripts or evals.
